Gatherings
This is a series of small artist books with a limited color palette that centers around paper, size, and the natural world. These little gatherings of paper and thread are meant to highlight paper’s flexibility as both a material and as a sculpture, mimicking natural elements such as tree branches, shells, and leaves. Small paper foldings lend to large trails of inked night sky imagery. I made these books small, as something you would gather along a path in a basket. These small books find their home both in what they are now and what they once were.
